The way society is set up with commerce tends to keep people dependent on the monetary system and under control. Similarly, society encourages people to specialize or get trades which make them skilled in only one area of life. The thought of earning a living through work is akin to paying to be alive, which does not sit well. More people need to believe in themselves rather than other people for the basic necessities of life like food, shelter, medicine. If more people could have an epiphany that they matter in the world society would be better off. The film “The Big Picture” seeks to make this point that people need to believe in themselves first.
Key Takeaways:
- One blogger that believes in the big “they” government, society, that wants to keep the “people” oppressed suggests that the key is that no one wants anyone to truly be self-sufficient.
- As long as people have to put the time, money and effort into one sort of living, or trade, they will never have the means to make it on their own.
- The idea is that the economic system does not so much support the people as enslave them and ensure they can never live alone and unfettered and free.
“People can’t just walk into the wild because people think that land ownership is real. You can’t just go and live in the forest. I mean, somebody owns it or its government land or something. You can’t just go and live there. Oh no, that’s terribly radical. You got to have permission to do everything. They don’t want people focused on freedom folks.”
