It seems the Universe is composed of systems within systems within systems, etc. As a system of cells perform a function to sustain the life of a larger organism, so to do humans (and other living matter) serve a function to sustain the life of the Universe at large? If so, could we consider “God” and the Universe to be one in the same?
Key Takeaways:
- The universe can be viewed from the perspective of being like a cell with different parts that serve different functions
- The idea that the cosmos was alive was first introduced in a book called the “Living Universe”
- The universe is alive and all the small and big elements that comprise it all work together
“Humans strive to identify themselves as the crown of creation without considering the actual possibly of being just a tiny piece of nature. In that case can our infinite universe be a cell of one gigantic living organism?”
