Mind Over Matter?

The dominant paradigm in the world today is scientific-materialism. It has given us a lot of materialistic advantages that we can’t argue with. These include better health care and education along with a higher standard of living that we could only dream of 100 years ago.

In spite of all this we still haven’t answered the most fundamental questions of our own existence. Who are we, where did we come from? What is the true nature of existence? Even though Quantum Mechanics has been pointing to a solution for a hundred years now the scientific-materialistic mind has completely ignored it.

This article articulates the mind over matter perspective pointing out that Quantum Mechanics itself points to the undeniable link between the mind and the body, between consciousness and the physical universe. In fact Quantum Mechanics tells us that without an act of observation there cannot be a physical reality. This points to the ultimate law of causality to be consciousness rather than matter.

We should not ignore this connection because in it lies our potential and our future. We should not let matter dominate our mind because of the misunderstanding the materialistic outward perception brings but we should embrace and take advantage of our true inner nature that it really is mind over matter.
